South Africa ICASA published a notice to make amendments to the 2015 South Africa Frequency Plan
On July 23, 2019 The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has issued a notice of intention to amend their 2015 Frequency Spectrum Regulation. The use or possession of the Radio Apparatus in accordance with the specified frequency bands & specifications shall not require a radio frequency spectrum license.
This is an opportunity for manufacturer of radio product whereby the frequency bands not yet de-license in South Africa. Please submit your request to ICASA within 30 days from the date of issuance.
Philippines NTC issued Memorandum regarding Type Approval/Acceptance of Equipment based on the specific integrated Radio Module
The Philippine’s National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has issued a Memorandum on Aug. 7, 2019 regarding Type Approval/Acceptance of Equipment based on the specific integrated Radio Module.
In the Memorandum, NTC requested:
- The host/end product shall be Type Approved/Accepted as per specific integrated/installed RF Module.
- An equipment model with single Regulatory Model Name (RMN) with multiple marketing model name shall be issued a certificate per marketing model basis.
This order shall take effect immediately upon approval, for strict compliance.
