In the the H2 financial results Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services division grew at 2.2% organic growth with 4.8% growth in SmartWorld testing services.

Panama extends deadlines for Household Equipment Compliance

The Panamanian Ministry of Commerce and Industry passed two resolutions extending compliance deadlines set by Resolutions on Technical Regulations on Energy Efficiency and Labeling of Refrigerators, Freezers and Three-phase Squirrel-cage Induction Motors. These regulations will require minimum Energy Efficiency Indexes and labeling requirements. Mandatory compliance will come into force December 31st, 2019 and labeling requirements will become applicable on June 30th, 2020.

Taiwan Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection establishes requirements for Wireless Power Chargers

Taiwan BSMI will enforce mandatory approvals for Wireless Power Chargers from Jan. 1st, 2020 published in a Notification on May 27th. A BSMI certificate will be mandatory starting January 1st, 2020. It will require local testing and RoHS declaration and labeling.
