Energy Star: Updated Luminaires V2.2 Web Service Now Available

Energy Star News for V2.2

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would like to inform you that the XML-based web services for submitting data on Luminaires certified to the ENERGY STAR®  V2 specification has been updated to allow you to submit products certified to version 2.2. The web service field updates are summarized below.

 

Indoor and Indoor/Outdoor Directional

  • ENERGY STAR Specification Version
    • New enumeration: 2.2

Indoor and Indoor/Outdoor Non-directional

As a reminder, per Directive 2011-05, “Measured versus Reported Values for ENERGY STAR Certification”, reported source light output divided by reported input power (i.e., calculated source efficacy based on reported values) must also meet the applicable ENERGY STAR requirement.

 

Additionally, all web services has been updated to allow multiple selections for the Luminaire Type field, so that models with multiple applicable luminaire types may be submitted with a single certification.
